Ronnie Hedrick, President – rhedrick@bulhed.com

Ronnie started Bul-Hed Corporation as a spin-off of the Heavy Division of Bulger Contracting Company. As President and owner of Bul-Hed Corporation, he is responsible for operations including estimating, management, solicitation of new contracts, and development of specialized equipment. Ronnie is a certified MSHA instructor.

In addition to spending time with his wife Terry, Ronnie enjoys traveling, bird hunting, fishing, and motorcycling.

The following are some of the higher profile projects he has managed:

* Sitework for Airside 4 at the Orlando International Airport
* Robinson Preserve for Manatee County
* Maintenance contract for 5000 acres at the Tenoroc State Reserve
* Over 50,000 acres of Phosphate Reclamation

* Construction of the Robert Trent Jones Trail of Golf in Alabama consisting of 216 holes of golf in 18 months
* Landfill projects for Waste Management Corp., BFI, Hillsborough County, Polk County, and Macon County, NC
* Alcoa Remediation Surcharge Project
* Hurricane Debris Removal Projects
* Construction of 400 acres of gypsum stacks with liners
* Site development for Del Web’s Sun City Development in Hilton Head, SC
* Walt Disney World projects including, Blizzard Beach, Caribbean Beach Resort, North Hotel Loop Road
* 400 acres of site development for Universal Studios, including clearing, earthwork, utilities, and roads
* Bridgewater Tract Wetland Restoration for Florida Department of Environmental Protection

Ronnie Hedrick II, Vice President, Administration – rhedrick2@bulhed.com

Ronnie began working at Bul-Hed in 2003. As Vice President, Ronnie oversees day to day operations and is responsible for bidding and estimating, management of contracts, monthly billings, Human Resource Management and supervision. At the age of 20, Ronnie obtained the corporation’s Florida State Contractor’s License and has since added state licenses from Tennessee, Alabama, West Virginia, and North Carolina. He is also a certified MSHA instructor. Ronnie earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business at Florida Southern College in 2008.

Ronnie lives in Lakeland, Florida with his wife Laura and their two dogs Bo and Lil’ Bit. He spends his free time with friends and family hunting, fishing, golfing, and grilling.

Wayne Duvall, Vice President, Operations – wduvall@bulhed.com

Wayne is Vice President of Operations. He is responsible for daily field operations, project management and equipment maintenance programs. In addition, Wayne is responsible for surveying and layout, including the operation and implementation of GPS systems and has developed and implemented new land clearing techniques that are unique to the Florida environment. Ronnie hired him in 1982.

Prior to coming to Bul-Hed, Wayne was VP/GM for Southeastern Construction, LLC in Knoxville, TN. His clearing projects included hundreds of miles of gas line throughout the SE US. He has managed projects up to $7 million and cleaned up after hurricanes on the North Carolina coastline, the Central Florida hurricanes of 2004, reclamation and mitigation work, large-scale residential site developments, disaster clean-up contracts, and golf course construction which included the Robert Trent Jones Trail of Golf in Alabama.

Wayne’s free time is spent in the outdoors hunting, fishing, archery, motorcycling, and gardening.

Daryll Deets, Engineering/Estimating – ddeets@bulhed.com

Daryll has been with Bul-Hed for six years, but has been working with Ronnie for 24 of the past 28 years. He has extensive experience with surveying, GPS layout, and Agtek Systems. Daryll is very flexible and can spend time in the office performing take-offs and project management tasks, as well as in the field performing layout or field project management. He was instrumental in the successful completion of Robinson Preserve.

Daryll enjoys sailing, flying, R/C flying, and fishing.

Brian VanSluyters, Fleet Manager – bvan@bulhed.com

Brian is Bul-Hed Corporation’s Fleet Manager and is responsible for supervision of mechanics/service techs, equipment maintenance schedules, resource development, parts and supply inventory, shop operations, and development and construction of new specialized equipment. He has been with Bul-Hed Corporation since 1999 and has been in the construction industry for 25 years.

Brian spends his free time with his 2 sons. They enjoy camping as well as repairing and customizing their trucks together.

Tina Brokaw, Bookkeeper – tbrokaw@bulhed.com

Tina moved to Florida from Boston, Massachusetts. She was employed by US Agri-Chemicals until the plant shut down in 2005. Bul-Hed was fortunate enough to hire her at that time. She is currently the Office Manager and is responsible for all bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, insurance control, and human resource management. The experience that Tina gained in the phosphate industry has proven to be a great asset to the Bul-Hed team.

Tina is married, and she and Todd have a son.

Ami Wright, Human Resources/Payroll – awright@bulhed.com

Ami has been with Bul-Hed for 5 years. With 15 years of experience in the administrative field, she is responsible for payroll, Human Resources, and any other projects thrown her way. She also coordinates the documentation of all safety programs, training, and certifications.

Ami is a Florida native who was raised in the Fort Lauderdale area. She relocated to Lakeland in 2000 where she raises her two daughters. Ami enjoys designing jewelry and other crafts, as well as spending time with family and friends.

Adalberto Jaimes, Superintendent – ajaimes@bulhed.com

Al has been with Bul-Hed since day one. He has worked in the mining industry since 1997 and has been responsible for several large projects in the last few years including a Wal-Mart Distribution Center, Hurricane Clean Up, a Sysco Distribution Center and several large phosphate reclamation jobs. He consistently ensures his team is working safely and equipment exceeds safety expectations. Al can operate several pieces of equipment including bulldozers, excavators, motorgraders, etc., and can perform layout on jobs.

Al is married with three daughters. They enjoy traveling, sight seeing, and playing sports together. He also enjoys recreational shooting and fishing in his spare time.

Jack Johnston, Superintendent – jjohnston@bulhed.com

Jack Johnston is another employee who gained extensive experience with over 30 years in the phosphate industry. Jack is responsible for seeing that the projects are built safely, on time, and within the budgets. He is one of those employees who you don’t have to worry about. He gets the job done right the first time.

Jack is married with three children.

Miguel Santoyo, Superintendent – msantoyo@bulhed.com

Miguel has been in the mining industry since 1997 and with Bul-Hed since 2006. He started off as an Equipment Operator and moved up to Superintendent. His experience in wetland restoration, clearing and dam construction has proven to be a valuable asset to the company. Miguel takes pride in making sure all operators are properly trained, ensuring a safe worksite, and often overseeing several small jobs at once.

Miguel has been a proud member of the Florida National Guard since October 2001. He has completed two tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and several State activations in support of the Florida hurricanes of 2004. He is married and has five children. His hobbies include spending time with family, traveling, playing softball and fishing.

Mike Osorio, Superintendent – mosorio@bulhed.com

Mike joined Bul-Hed in 2010. His previous experience includes over 20 years of reclamation work and fencing for well-known companies such as Mosaic and Clear Springs. Mike has most recently overseen the reclamation and clearing activities at the Tenoroc Mine Reclamation projects. Mike’s supervision not only ensures the efficiency, but most importantly the safety of the team as the job gets done. He has taken on any challenge that has been given to him.

Mike is married with three children and four grandchildren. He spends his free time outdoors, fishing, having cookouts, and spending time with his family.

Jerry Martin

Jerry Martin was Bul-Hed's General Manager until he retired in January of 2011. With over 40 years of experience in the industry, he was responsible for daily field operations and provided vital input into estimating, field management, and value engineering of projects. His experience includes reclamation, mitigation, and construction projects such as theme parks, golf courses, subdivisions, dams, gypsum stacks and landfills. Jerry worked with Ronnie since 1985 and is now BHC’s most valuable consultant.

Jerry unwinds riding his motorcycle and woodworking. He and his wife love traveling and enjoy fine dining.
